* Train No. 07153 Narasapur - SMBT Bangalore special train (Friday) has been extended from August 16th to September 27th. Train No. 07154 SMBT Bangalore - Narasapur special train (Saturday) has been extended from August 17th to September 29th.
Additionally, the 'Kavach' safety system will be implemented on the Chennai - Renigunta route. The Southern Railway is introducing this system on various routes in phases, with the first phase including the Chennai Central - Arakkonam, Arakkonam - Renigunta, and Chennai Central - Gudur routes, covering a distance of 217 km. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 125.11 crores.
Due to development work at the Tambaram railway station, express trains will not halt at the station on August 15th, 16th, and 17th. Express and suburban train services have already been adjusted until August 14th for ongoing platform expansion work. Express trains will instead halt at Mambalam railway station for these three days.
