Currently, 78 UTS, 9 PRS and 18 combined UTS/PRS counters across key stations in Varanasi Division are equipped for QR code payments. This initiative eliminates the need for cash, reduces ticket issuance time, and increases transparency. Previously, UPI payments were only available for online bookings, but these QR devices now allow for digital payments at UTS and PRS counters. The service is expected to be rolled out soon at Varanasi City, Ghazipur City, Mau, Azamgarh, Ballia, Siwan, Marwan, Kaptagan, Belthara Road, Salempur, Bhatni, Surenmanpur and Thawe reservation counters.
