A railway survey revealed that on average, more than 200 passengers are forced to miss these trains due to overcrowding. Passengers bound for Howrah are opting for special trains or taking other trains from the junction. Passengers traveling to Hatia, Ranchi, and Sambalpur in Odisha are facing more inconvenience as they have to extend their journeys or choose alternative routes. The LHB rake has two general coaches compared to the five general coaches in the ICF rake. The reduced number of general coaches has created difficulty for passengers, and the Railway Station Advisory Committee has highlighted the issue to the railway authorities. However, the railway has not yet taken any concrete steps to address the issue.
