Hazaribagh railway line has been ongoing since the start of train operations. Villagers from numerous villages gathered at the Manasa temple near Devchanda to discuss the demand and plan further action. They highlighted the benefits the halt would bring to a large number of villages and institutions, including the Birsa Agricultural Research Center and the Indian Agricultural Research Institute. The villagers have threatened to launch an agitation if their demand is not met.
