Indore Khandwa Rail Line: Many works still left on Ratlam-Indore-Mhow-Sanavad-Khandwa broad gauge line

approved for the project, bringing the total approved amount to Rs 2498 crore in three years. Construction of a 900-meter long bridge on the Narmada River has started in January 2023 at a cost exceeding Rs 100 crore. The project is divided into two phases, Mhow-Balwara and Balwara-Barwah, with 21 tunnels planned for the Mhow-Balwara section. The largest tunnel, spanning 4.1 km, has been tendered, but others remain pending. The project is expected to be completed by 2026. Upon completion, Indore will have direct connectivity to Maharashtra and Telangana, bypassing the current need to travel via Ratlam, Bhopal, or Itarsi. Railway officials have assured the priority completion of the Mhow-Sanavad broad gauge project, with work commencing soon after the tender process.

January 2023 mein Narmada River pe Rs 100 crore se zyada ka 900 meter long bridge ka construction start ho gaya hai. Project ko Mhow-Balwara aur Balwara-Barwah, do parts mein complete kiya ja raha hai. Mhow-Balwara section mein 21 tunnels banege, aur 4.1 km long tunnel ke liye tender issue ho chuka hai, lekin baaki ke tenders abhi bhi pending hai. Project 2026 tak complete hone ki ummeed hai. Project complete hone ke baad, Indore ko Maharashtra aur Telangana se direct connectivity milega, aur ab Ratlam, Bhopal, ya Itarsi se Mumbai jana nahi padega.
