If approved, the Junnardev district will be formed with the Junnardev assembly constituency, leading to the division of the Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency into three districts: Chhindwara, Pandhurna, and Junnardev. The current proposal includes 12 tehsils remaining in the Chhindwara district after the separation of Pandhurna. Notably, a similar proposal for creating new districts was made before the assembly elections, resulting in the formation of Mauganj, Maihar, and Pandhurna districts.
