6,362 crore for railway projects in 2024-25. This is an increase from the Rs 6,080 crore allocated for 2022-23. Vaishnaw further announced that railway projects worth Rs 33,467 crore are currently underway in the state, including the development of 77 stations. Additionally, 2,500 general class coaches will be manufactured, and over the next few years, the railways plan to introduce 5,000 more coaches for unreserved travellers. Singh also revealed that two additional lines will be laid from Perambur to Ambattur, after which the final proposal for the fourth terminal will be submitted for approval. Regarding the delayed Kilambakkam railway station, Singh confirmed that the construction issue has been resolved and the station is expected to be ready by October. The third terminal at Tambaram is being developed under a public-private partnership model. A detailed project report will be submitted to the railway board before work commences. The railways have completed their portion of rail over bridges at 40 locations, but the state government has yet to begin work due to land acquisition issues.

Vaishnaw ne yeh bhi bataya ki state mein Rs 33,467 crore ke railway projects chal rahe hain, jismein 77 stations ka development bhi shamil hai. Iske alawa, 2,500 general class coaches banaye jaayenge, aur aage aane waale kuchh saalon mein railways unreserved travellers ke liye 5,000 aur coaches introduce karegi. Singh ne yeh bhi bataya ki Perambur se Ambattur tak do aur lines daali jaayengi, jiske baad chautha terminal ka final proposal railway board ko approval ke liye bheja jaayega. Kilambakkam railway station ke delay ke baare mein, Singh ne confirm kiya ki construction ka issue solve ho gaya hai aur station October tak ready ho jaayega.
