The electrification project is part of a larger effort to electrify the entire railway network in Telangana, which has seen a significant increase in rail infrastructure development in recent years, with the rail budget allocation increasing from Rs. 258 crores in 2014-15 to Rs. 5,071 crores in 2024-25.
