The project, costing approximately Rs. 700 crore, aims to transform the station into a modern, world-class facility with amenities like 26 lifts, 32 escalators, 2 travelators, a spacious roof plaza, cafeterias, recreational facilities, and retail shops. Multi-modal connectivity to metro stations and bus stations will also be provided. Reddy expressed satisfaction with the progress, highlighting the fast-paced development and the commitment of the SCR team. He also mentioned the ongoing upgradation of other stations in the twin city region, including Nampally, Kacheguda, Lingampalli, and Begumpet. The project features an iconic station building with a 40-60 year lifespan, a spacious roof plaza, integration of both sides of the city, smooth traffic flow, adequate parking, multi-modal integration, segregated arrival and departure areas, clutter-free platforms, and facilities for Divyangans. The station is designed with an emphasis on comfort, safety, and sustainability, including features like certified green buildings, solar energy, and water conservation.

Hon’ble Minister ne station building ke dono taraf construction site par jaake developmental work ki progress ke baare mein jaankaari li. Baad mein, station par media se baat karte hue, Hon’ble Union Minister ne bataya ki Hon’ble Prime Minister ne 8 April 2023 ko Secunderabad station ke major upgradation ka foundation stone rakha tha aur thode samay mein hi almost 20%-25% kaam pura ho chuka hai. Poora project 2025 ke end tak complete hone ka target hai. Station ko lagbhag Rs. 700 crore ki lagat se redevelop kiya ja raha hai. Unhone kaha ki redeveloped station mein modern architecture aur world-class passenger amenities honge. Secunderabad Railway station completely transform ho jaayega aur airport ke level par hoga, yeh unhone bataya. Aage, Shri G.
