Verma had been operating a digital service point, but was actually using a personal user ID to book tickets on the railway website and then selling them at a higher price (₹50-₹100 more than the actual cost). He was apprehended based on a complaint and confessed to his illegal activities. The RPF seized a CPU, a mobile phone, and the 39 e-tickets. The case was handed over to the Mandhir Hasaud outpost for further action under the Railway Act.

Koi complaint mili, toh RPF ki team ne action liya aur usne apna crime confess kiya. Usse ek CPU, mobile phone aur 39 e-tickets seized kiye gaye. The project, initially planned for December 2022, was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and issues with railway break-down availability. The new railway line will feature a shopping complex above the station, parking facilities for buses, autos, and taxis, entertainment options, restaurants, hotels, and cafes. The project cost has increased from 52 crores to 100 crores. The railway line is expected to be a significant turning point for Nava Raipur's development, connecting it to major cities like Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, and Bhilai. The first station in Nava Raipur will be at Atal Nagar, located about 2 km from Mandir Hasaud.

The 17 stations being redeveloped are: Sarona, Mandir Hasaud, Hathbandh, Nipania, Bhatapara, Dongargarh, Korba, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon, Bhilai Nagar, Bilha, Baikunthpur Road, Ambikapur, Uslapur, Pendra Road, Janjgir Naila, Champa, Baradwar, Dallirajhara, Bhanupratappur, and Bhilai. The project includes a smart station and three regular stations, with construction 40-50% complete. The NRDA chief engineer expects train services to commence by Diwali 2024. The track is designed with long rail patches to minimize jerks during travel. The track was tested in February 2023, and the line can handle trains running at 120 kilometers per hour. Budgetary constraints and tender cancellations have been blamed for construction delays, which also hampered the planned inauguration before the state assembly elections. The 21-kilometer line from Naya Raipur to Mandir Hasaud was completed in October 2023. A survey has been conducted for running MEMU trains from Raipur to Kendri.

Ek smart station aur teen normal stations hain, jinka 40-50% kaam ho chuka hai. Diwali tak train chalne ki umeed hai. Track mein lamba rail patch use kiya gaya hai, isse train mein jhatke nahi ayenge. February 2023 mein track ki test hui thi, aur 120 km/h speed se train chalane ki permission mili hai. Budget ka issue aur tender cancel hone ki wajah se construction mein der ho gayi, isse election se pehle train start karne ka plan fail ho gaya. Naya Raipur se Mandir Hasaud tak 21 km line October 2023 mein complete ho gayi. Raipur se Kendri tak MEMU train chalane ka survey ho chuka hai.
