The doubling project is currently stalled due to a dispute regarding compensation for displaced residents near the Bajrang Nagar area. However, the CRS is expected to approve the doubling of 5 kilometers of the project. The doubling of the railway line between Karaila Road and Anpara was approved by the CRS a year ago.
