This funding will be used to expedite the project, including tenders for Corridor 1, Depot 2, track and traction works. The project, with a total cost of Rs 15,767 crore, is funded 60% by foreign agencies and 40% by the Indian government. The BSRP comprises four corridors and two depots, with groundwork underway on Corridor 2 (Mallige Line) and Corridor 4 (Kanaka Line). Pre-construction work has begun on Corridor 1 (Sampige Line), and initial groundwork is underway on Corridor 3 (Kengeri-Whitefield).
