This is to ensure that all five platforms at Tatanagar station remain available for long-distance trains. The order to clear platforms came after a report in Hindustan Daily on September 30 highlighted passenger complaints about train delays due to trains being held outside the station. The article also mentions the practice of storing empty coaches at smaller stations like Chaibasa and Bahalda due to a lack of lines at Tatanagar. To ensure the timely departure of the South Bihar Express, the DRM has allocated platforms 4 and 5 for engine changes. This is meant to minimize the time required for engine replacement.

Train operations were suspended from 9:45 PM to 10:05 PM due to the incident, leading to chaos at the Chakradharpur Railway Division. The RPF team, dispatched from the Chakradharpur Railway Division headquarters, investigated the scene. Train services were disrupted for an hour on the up and down main lines, along with the third line. The track maintainers removed the stone from the joint point, resuming train operations. The RPF is investigating the incident, and a special team has been deployed to monitor the tracks and joint points. The RPF suspects that the incident was the act of mischief makers who intended to derail trains, but the vigilance of railway personnel averted a major accident.

Raat 9:45 se 10:05 tak trains ka chalana band raha. Chakradharpur Railway Division se RPF team ne ghatna sthal ki jaanch ki. Track maintainers ne joint point se patthar hataya, aur train operations start ho gaye. RPF is case ki jaanch kar rahe hain, aur tracks aur joint points ki nigrani karne ke liye ek special team deploy ki gayi hai. RPF ka maanana hai ki ye incident shararati tatvo ki kartoot hai, aur unki mansa trains ko derail karna thi, lekin railway karmchariyon ki sajagta se ek bada haadsa tak gaya.
