Alamnagar lies in Lucknow on the BE-LKO line. It has 4 platforms, though half the tracks are occupied by freight ones. Trains like LKO Mail [in one direction], Triveni express and crawlers like DDN-BSB Express stop here. Other trains may also stop here due to it being outers of LKO/LJN and non availability of PFs at the main station. The station has been renovated recently and has a giant imposing facade now.
I went there when the Triveni Express rolled in. But only a few passengers to board and a trickle...
more... to deboard either.Curiously, the coach indicator wasn't working either. The main road is 1+ km away and the station is properly accessible from one side only. IR is developing this station and it is in a much better state than say the penultimate station Manaknagar, on the LJN-CNB line.
please wait...Translate to EnglishAlamnagar's in Lucknow on the BE-LKO line. It's got 4 platforms, but half the tracks are taken up by freight trains. Trains like LKO Mail stop here, plus the Triveni express and some slow ones like DDN-BSB Express. Other trains might pull in too 'cause it’s kinda an outer stop for LKO/LJN and the main station’s got no platforms free. They just fixed up the station, and it looks pretty cool now.
I was there when the Triveni Express showed up, but not many peeps got on or off. Weird thing, the coach indicator wasn’t workin’ either. The main road’s like over a km away, and you can only get to the station from one side. IR's workin' on this station, and it’s in way better shape than Manaknagar, the last stop on the LJN-CNB line.
