SER had Pitlines at Chakradharpur, Jharsuguda, Bokaro Steel city. SER destroyed these pitlines by not using them. I feel atleast Pitlines at Chakradharpur and Bokaro Steel city needs to be kept functional. If CKP had usable pitlines, many Intercity exp trains within Jharkhand and also Orissa part could have been runned using rakes having base at CKP. Too much dependency on HTE, TATA CDO would not be required for ICE type trains. As HTE, TATA CDO has many long distance trains so CKP could have handeled ICE type trains within Jharkhand and Orissa regions.
