Officials say there is room for adjustment and that the Southwestern Railway, responsible for the line to Omalur near Salem, can adjust the overall running time. Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has also written to the Railway Minister requesting a later departure time than 5 a.m., arguing that it is too early for passengers to reach the station. The Vande Bharat Express takes six hours to complete the journey, despite an official timetable of six hours and 30 minutes, leading to confusion among travelers. Representatives of passenger associations highlight the potential for a slight travel time reduction to benefit passengers, especially given the high demand for the service, which was introduced based on the existing 130+ bus services and 2,000 passenger car units operating between Coimbatore and Bengaluru.

Officials ka kehna hai ki time adjust karne ki jagah hai aur Southwestern Railway, jo Omalur (Salem ke paas) tak ki line ka zimmedar hai, woh overall travel time adjust kar sakta hai. Vande Bharat Express ko dono cities ke beech jaane mein sirf 6 hours lagte hain, lekin official timetable mein 6 hours 30 minutes diya gaya hai, jisse passengers mein confusion hota hai.
