While doubling would cost Rs 15-20 crore on flat stretches, it rises to Rs 80-100 crore in hilly areas. Land acquisition should not be a major issue as sufficient land was acquired during the initial construction. Despite its challenges, Konkan Railway faces additional hurdles during the monsoon season, necessitating speed reductions and service curtailments to ensure safety.

se yeh project phases mein kiya jaayega, khaas kar hilly areas mein. Konkan Railway har din 52 passenger trains aur 18 goods trains chalati hai, aur single-track sections pe capacity ki kami hai. Doubling ki lagat flat stretches pe Rs 15-20 crore hai, lekin hilly areas mein yeh Rs 80-100 crore tak jaati hai. Initial construction ke samay kaafi land acquire kiya gaya tha, toh land acquisition ek major issue nahi hoga. Apni challenges ke saath, Konkan Railway monsoon season mein aur bhi challenges ka samna karti hai, jiske wajah se safety ke liye train ki speed kam karni padti hai aur services bhi kam karni padti hai.
